I've kept up with US-backed horrors all my life. The ones in my country are still woven into everything we do. But seeing people be so flippant about it in real time is soul crushing.

I accidentally saw a picture of a baby in Palestine. I have a 4-month old son, my first son. I have been following things closely, but understanding how especially sensitive I have been since he was born, I avoid pictures. I'm operating at maybe 25% power, except when I hold him or see him smile.
