Context: The lawyer she's calling out here was arguing that all domestic violence accusations under capitalism are illegitimate, and that women who try to use the legal system to seek justice and protection from their abusive partners are willing beneficiaries of unjust state violence.

A paragraph from the Wikipedia article for Swedish director Ingmar Bergman. It reads: In 1934, aged 16, he was sent to Germany to spend the summer holidays with family friends. He attended a Nazi rally in Weimar at which he saw Adolf Hitler. He later wrote in Laterna Magica (The Magic Lantern) about the visit to Germany, describing how the German family had put a portrait of Hitler on the wall by his bed, and that "for many years, I was on Hitler's side, delighted by his success and saddened by his defeats". Bergman commented that "Hitler was unbelievably charismatic. He electrified the crowd. ... The Nazism I had seen seemed fun and youthful." Bergman did two five-month stretches of mandatory military service in Sweden. He later reflected, When the doors to the concentration camps were thrown open, at first I did not want to believe my eyes … When the truth came out it was a hideous shock for me. In a brutal and violent way I was suddenly ripped of my innocence.

Biffo just doesn't feel real--it's like he's an especially deranged Pendog Creative Library character who broke free from unfiction and retroactively entered reality.

Even the talk page of his Wikipedia article has a vaguely unnerving, "found notes in a horror story" feel to it:

Trump wants his own Tiananmen Square.
It was March 1990, and Trump was being interviewed by Playboy magazine about his life as a real estate mogul. At one point, Trump was asked about a trip he'd taken to Moscow a few years prior. Trump said he'd been "very unimpressed" with the Soviet Union. "Their system is a disaster," Trump said. "What you will see there soon enough is a revolution; the signs are all there with the demonstrations and picketing. Russia is out of control and the leadership knows it. That's my problem with [former Soviet President Mikhail] Gorbachev. Not a firm enough hand." Trump was then asked if he meant "firm hand as in China." "When the students poured into Tiananmen Square, the Chinese government almost blew it. Then they were vicious, they were horrible, but they put it down with strength," Trump replied. "That shows you the power of strength. Our country is right now perceived as weak...as being spit on by the rest of the world." On June 4, 1989, after several weeks of pro-democracy and pro-reform demonstrations, Chinese troops entered Tiananmen Square in Beijing and fired on unarmed people. Hundreds, possibly thousands, were killed.
