One thing I bet you didn’t know exists (I didn’t) is Panama Screw Worm barrier. Screworms killed millions worth of cattle annually, until in 50’s US created a barrier in Panama.

This is very cool and news to me. By injecting water with pressure in the ground on critical areas they can shield freshwater basins from seawater in LA county.

Week ago I made pasta & sauce. The next day I diluted the sauce with broth and ate it for lunch as if it was soup. This act haunts me, it feels so so wrong.
