Last Good Thing of 2025 - Our church's Pride Squad threw their first NYE party, Queeraoke and Cupcakes. Great shenanigans were had. My unicorn horn paired fabulously with my tiara. Here's to a new year of people being loved, accepted, and respected just as they are. 💙

This little guy is my Good Thing. He's tuckered out, snuggled down with his blankets and stuffies. I came back home today after being out of town for 6 days. His reaction was priceless. Chihuahua trembles and just needing to be picked up and hugged. It was quite the reunion 💙

Good Thing - Ending my evening with a Christmas episode of Bob's Burgers. Woah bourbon!

Good Thing - Wandered the Dallas Arboretum with the family tonight. Holiday lights are still on display. One of the kidlets and I wrote alternate lyrics to the 12 Days of Xmas as we strolled around. We're quite proud.

Oh this girl. Its a mixed bag day. Its now 6 years since this sweetness died. Her mom and I miss her every moment of every day. She was and still is the love of my life. So today's Good Thing, being in TX to spend time with her mom and the family to celebrate her life they way she would want us to.

Yay Good Thing! Making my way from LA to Dallas to spend time with family. Broke my heart when Bailey cried as I left him with our friends, but I know he's having a blast. Hope everyone is doing something that fills them with joy.

Good Thing! My Best Chica always tries to find time to fit me in to her busy schedule whenever she's in town and I so appreciate her for that. Her gift to me--local whiskey, the BEST cherries, and a faboo chicken glass representin' Petaluma. My homegirl rocks!

Good Thing - Took one of my respite clients to see the SpongeBob movie today. That yellow dude is what bonded us so many years ago. It made for a fun afternoon.

Good Thing 😍 I love the way Bailey "courts" his cookies before he eats them. A little dancing, a hop and a skip, quite a bit of barking at the cookie, before I tell him, "Okay, okay, yes, you have a cookie. Go get your cookie." Then the nibbling can begin. Every. Time.

Good Thing! For quite some time now, a friend and I celebrate Winter Solstice by visiting a lighting event or display in the area. This year we went to Enchant and Santa Anita Park. The displays were beautiful. Happy Yule!

Good Thing! Received a surprise Christmas bonus yesterday. Woohoo! Hasn't happened in a long time as they're a not-for-profit social service but try their best to pay it forward to the employees. Treated myself to dinner from one of my fave local joints. Mmmm😋 Best fried chicken around!

Good Thing - Gifted the work bestie a replica of the moose head glass from Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. She loved it! Got a text later that evening that her husband is jealous and wants one of his own. I don't do a whole lot of gift giving, but finding a spot-on gift feels darn good.

HA! Today's Good Thing. My work bestie totally gets me. She gifted me a deck of emergency affirmations for exceptionally stupid days. There is so much truth here tee-hee!

Time to count Good Things. Why wait until 1/1/26? Cuz then it turns into a new year's resolution, and no thank you. Besides, we need Good Things. The Bad Things are just... yeah. Anyway, thrilled to have a new fidget cuz Zoom meetings are just better with them 😁
