I spend much of my life travelling well away from home. Nice to have a reminder of what's close to my own doorstep.
Birgit and I spent much of the weekend in St Ives, Cornwall. Great weather on Saturday, not many people and yes of course we ate pasties for lunch!

"Could I have a room on the ground floor, next to the car park, with a light outside it please." No lugging gear up stairs, easy to load up in the morning & the light is a nice bit of security.
Not so easy to find in the UK. In the USA, I get a little extra smile from a spot like this 😊

I love roads like this. HWY 49 in California. The 49 takes you twisting through a landscape like this. Plenty of 10-15-20 mph corners & sweeping curves too. The towns nestle in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada. Many are near the passes to Eastern CA.
