So, if you enjoy the series let me encourage you to grab Ewing’s comics. They are special for so many reasons:
-Riri’s most important relationships are w/ other Black girls &women. Black women in superhero comics have typically been tokenized—Ewing surrounds Riri w/dynamic Black women & girls. 3/

I have a four month old who thinks sleep is for jokers so I don’t know when I’ll get a chance to watch it but from the previews it looks like the show follows a lot of what Eve Ewing established in her run of the comics. 2/
