Currently slightly obsessed with the painting Old London Bridge by Claude de Jongh and the sketch he made beforehand. Painted in 1630 it shows how the bridge was lined with shops and houses, the longest inhabited bridge in Europe.

If you can then take some time this winter to watch Ernest & Celestine. The film equivalent of a large mug of hot chocolate, it is full of warmth, kindness, beautiful animation, and friendship.

You know when you eat a really good meal, you save the perfect last bite and don’t eat anything after so you can keep the taste in your mouth. I’m experiencing the book equivalent of that after The Bee Sting by Paul Murray. I can’t move on, I need it to linger. #booksky
