An argument u could make for +-12 teams in this race.

Its a perfect stage for Laurance, but from the peloton he has maybe 2% chance to win. So yeah they should def go in the break.

Well they def have.

But indeed they have been very passive this tour

In Suisse he was on some stages really good. His TT in Suisse was quite bad yeah. But given its is home race, i hope he gets atleast some freedom.

Yeah UAEs team is way too stacked.
Im quite curious how they will manage it in the next few years.

Oh yeah, thats indeed cruel to him. Especially given how good he has been lately.
July 7, 2025 at 9:44 PM
UAE is in desperate need of the 200 UCI points.
July 7, 2025 at 9:31 PM
Well im afraid that it isnt that simple for some riders. Arensman has talked about the mental aspect of training and how hard it can be.

Its a really good interview that shows you how hard the life of a top athlete can be.

But they cant know how a rider reacts to a 3 week altitude camp if they have never done that. They will review what happened with Sheffield and learn from that.
July 2, 2025 at 2:46 PM
Dajo Sanders and Tom Helleman are the two coaches who have been at Tenerife with the riders. 2 coaches with alot of knowledge so that wasnt the problem.
July 2, 2025 at 2:43 PM
This happens quite often, especially with riders who don’t have much experience with altitude.

Ineos has a coach for every rider, just like any other big team, but unfortunately you can’t monitor every little detail, especially not on altitude.
July 2, 2025 at 2:29 PM
Yes, he mentioned it in one of the last two episodes.

LDP has been having backproblems for quite some time now. Kept him out of tour de Romandie earlier this year. I guess that this is the reason.
July 2, 2025 at 2:23 PM
Thomas said on his podcast that Sheffield overtrained in Tenerife. Sheffield in his paris-Nice shape would have been really exciting.
July 2, 2025 at 2:14 PM
Yeah there will probably be some changes.

Ganna got sick at nationals, backproblems of De Plus, injuries of Crod, G crashing,…
July 1, 2025 at 3:09 PM
He probably got a nice offer from EF.
But yeah Ineos should try and extend him, otherwise the past 3 years developing him have been for nothing.
June 27, 2025 at 8:02 PM
Ofc ofc he would be great but i would love to see him in the Vuelta.

Laurance, Watson, Langellotti could be a great stagehunting team for the Vuelta.
May 26, 2025 at 8:04 PM
This will be the team, but i think C Swift will be there instead of Laurance.
B Swift could also be an option, but he is already on 45 racedays, which is alot.
May 25, 2025 at 9:40 PM
Yeah, team or no team he is always at the front.
April 13, 2025 at 12:05 PM
I was thinking about that aswell.

Maybe Ineos send all their gc riders to the giro and vuelta.
And in the tour they go full on stage hunting. Would be a good idea i think.

But most likely he will just do Romandie.
April 11, 2025 at 1:34 PM
Yeah bit weird to see him at Sierra nevada at this time.

Maybe because of his injury.

April 11, 2025 at 9:24 AM
Carlos Rodiriguez, Castroviejo and Hamilton are also at Sierra Nevada for Ineos.
April 11, 2025 at 9:24 AM
Castro is retiring, he confirmed this during the UAE tour in an interview with AS.

B Swift said on Thomas his podcast that he would like to do one more year.
