I am chopped liver compared to my mom these days for my four year old. He’s always walking around the house, hands on his hips asking “Where’s that grandma?” Grandma is his best friend.

I’ve been in the process of going through old artwork and reworking some of them to fit my current sensibilities. Below is an update on a painting I originally did in 2018 (I think?). I still liked the general concept, and now it feels much more representative of my current thinking.

New Years Eve has looked a little different for a few years now, full of early bedtimes and missed count downs, and the fresh year creeping in with the sunrise instead of bursting forward at midnight.

Re-reading “A Wrinkle in Time” to my son at bedtime - it’s one of those books that is a delight to read out loud. Thinking of Meg in her attic bedroom. I think I may need to draw Mrs. Whatsit’s dramatic introduction next.
