Just receiving that mail every two weeks, effectively re-traumatizing me, for months, was devastating. I still haven't paid it. I won't. I can't believe that's even legal. I told people around me but no one felt as incredulous as I did, so I thought I was overreacting. UHC denied the claim to cover MY RAPE KIT because it's an ELECTIVE PROCEDURE Try and process that. I still can't. I also received phone calls regarding the debt. I explained what those calls were doing to me. I begged them to stop calling me. I think I eventually just told them to put me on a payment plan so they would leave me alone. It's fuzzy.
