"They Saw Everything" (il visto tutto) 1962 Dir. Giancarlo Giardino

Not my favourite Giardino but tense like nothing else I've seen. The dub leaves a little to be desired but jnfortunately the original is long out of print

probably my favourite poster I've painted so far

Anyone else love Heck House (1984) ? I know the remake got kinda trashed but the original is something wondrous

Acrylic on canvas (this is a recreation of the original poster by Emily Grade)

wanna see the only painting I've made that's made me retch & giggle throughout the process?

I have a wedding to go to this weekend - picked up a light coloured suit from vinted for a few quid because I was desperate to find something & cream seemed fairly innocuous? it made me look like shit so I dyed it green & though I haven't tried it on it looks heaps better already

I'm trying to paint things IN things & I'm not very good at realism but I don't aim for it so that's ok but I can't figure out what's going wrong with these, the colours are too muddy & you can't really tell what they are? I'm not sure. will keep going anyway

I really like how acrylic pours look but there's something super fucking meditative about hand marbling a canvas background before committing to painting a work. WIP

started a thing. I don't often do straight rips of existing images but since watching it the other day it was ingrained in my mind. the challenge is getting the contrast from orange to blue & then subtly shifting. I'm having fun.

I was watching John Carpenter's The Thing the other day & I was really enamoured with the fucking light on the snow like, it's such a small thing but the bisexual lighting shadow contrast makes the landscape itself seem alien, astounding that a 40 year old movie can still be effective as hell

"unexpectedly yet somehow exactly as we imagined, the sperm whale, who was on fire from having left Connecticut, crashed into & sadly completely obliterated our family home"

one thing that's both infuriating & yet kind of magical about art is you can spend WEEKS on a poem or canvas & still not be satisfied or just vomit something in a matter of minutes/hours & it be the best thing you've made (subject to post submitting clarity)

I'm something of an ancient woodland god myself.

Mask found on midwinter at the devils pulpit.

with apologies in advance for my trypophobic homies here is a Self Portrait of Self As Lotus Root

I painted this a while back & accidentally used the wrong setting agent which smeared it all & have been trying to salvage it since. If it makes you gag it's done it's job ig
