Tonight's movie was 1999's SHIKOKU, a 100% amazing ghost story in @arrowvideo.bsky.social's J-Horror Rising boxset. Often dismissed as a cash-in on Ringu by... people who have never seen Shikoku!? It's based on folklore & a real tradition I saw, by total coincidence, in a documentary just last week.
