As a child I spent a lot of time with my indigenous Grandmother. My Granny and I watched the setting sun one evening, she leaned close to me and whispered "Look child, your ancestors are painting the skies again". Now every time I see it, I can feel her with me.

I'm no photographer, but in 2012 I took this photo of a ginseng farm at dusk in the middle of a snowstorm. There is no editing on it. This is my favorite part of winter, when everything turns blue.
