It is a silence and it most certainly does matter. I would be more inclined to believe these offline conversations were occurring if they bore fruit, however ACE still hasn't had an enquiry about how he became an NPO, RCSSD still have no safeguarding policy for all 18-25 early career performers...

The actual issue here is the severe lack of safeguarding for early-career performers. Regardless of the desires and feelings of anyone (including victims, I must add), this needs to be fixed fast so we can prevent future Chris Goode's... and Glover-Stuarts, and Heath's etc etc...

There is a serious and persistent issue across the whole sector regarding safeguarding for early-career performers. I still find it astounding that ACE have not had a public enquiry regarding how he became a NPO, nor RCSSD had a review about safeguarding graduate students. It's been 4 years.

Tbh, this is probably a good thing bearing in mind the industry's abysmal record of protecting young actors from serious sexual assault and abuse. It's entirely appropriate that young people are steered from harms way. Maybe this is the wakeup needed to finally implement robust safeguarding.

It's not a question. A concerted effort has been made by theatres and educational institutions to essentially commandeer cancel culture to affect a cover up. Only 2 videos remain of Chris Goode on YouTube, Dante or Die removed his name as the writer of 'user not found'... and the list goes on and on

I think, tbh, before you go down the road of being trusted to run any youth theatre, you need to come clean about your venues past relationship with Chris Goode and detail your safeguarding procedures.

Tbh he has the option to do it and save loads of money for his company. 95% of business owners would do the same. This is not a partisan point, California needs to become a more attractive place to start and run businesses... you might not want to admit it but Elon made a reasonable decision here.

Let's see what happens next week. It's going to be interesting either way tbh. If it is banned it would be a seismic shift in online behaviours and a massive win for US based social media like Twitter and Meta. I don't think this is a money play either way, it's an anti-china play.

Its not a conspiracy, there was a whole scandal about it, government hearings, evidence was presented publicly etc. There's even a Netflix show about it.
