During my comments after being sworn in for my second term tonight, I took the opportunity to speak directly about this issue as a NC GOP State Supreme Court justice was there to administer the oath for a colleague of mine. It had to be said.

Some local media is fantastic like WUNC and INDYWeek, but the local news channels less so. The lead on WRAL? Snow flurries. The story on what happened in the NC Senate yesterday, that impacts our lives, is already buried. We have to demand more from our local press as well.
