Sorry to hear about David Lynch. I worked beside him (same studio) while he was making BLUE VELVET. He answered my questions about his work with grace and honesty. I especially enjoyed his deeply existential comic strip, The Angriest Dog in the World.”

Here's an explainer on the Prosecraft situation that unfolded on Twitter in the last 24 hours. https://mashable.com/article/prosecraft-novel-ai-analysis-shut-down
Prosecraft analysed thousands of novels using AI. Now authors have shut it down.
The site's owner closed it after a large online backlash.

Got my 7-day free trial of the BFI app and immediately saw a double-bill that made it worth it: BEAST and GOD'S CREATURES. Two dark films about women struggling to come to terms with the actions of men they love, both brilliantly written, acted and shot. Recommended.

Here's a quick explainer on the SAG-AFTRA strike, why it's happening, and what it might mean for the industry when actors take to the picket line. https://mashable.com/article/hollywood-actors-strike
Hollywood actors may be about to strike. Here's what that means.
The film and TV industry may be close to a near-total shutdown.

I wrote this breakdown of the ending of RUN RABBIT RUN, which I thought was a pretty fun film. Well written, ominous, and an awesome performance from Sarah Snook. Not sure why it's getting panned so much on Rotten Tomatoes. https://mashable.com/article/run-rabbit-run-netflix-movie-ending-explainer
We need to talk about 'Run Rabbit Run's twisted ending
That's a lot to unpack.
