Living rurally we’re surrounded by white MAGA neighbors. We stoke the fire even though it makes us the pariahs on the road, at least until one of them needs a favor. Got a text from the wife of one of them just this morning asking if her MAGA husband could borrow our tractor😂

Happy Easter to those who celebrate! Took this pic in 2011 on a business trip w/my husband, but we also had 3 days to tour Jerusalem & environs. This is from what is claimed to be the Garden of Gethsemane where Jesus was arrested after the last supper & betrayal by Judas.

I had a similar experience several years ago except it was a coyote, not a wolf chasing a deer. Deer ran right past me in an all out sprint, coyote closing in. Coyote saw me, pulled off & put distance between us & stared me down. Deer escaped & I took a really bad pic of coyote before it ran away!

It was a mix but I think the majority were older, 50s, 60s, & above. I suspect many are concerned with Soc. Security and MediCare. There were young people too but pretty sure they were outnumbered. Here’s a pic I took of a portion of the crowd, mostly older faces, quite a bit of gray hair.

This is a few years old but if you’ve never seen DC in full bloom, you’re missing out on a beautiful display. Pink is a much nicer color for our nation’s capital than orange.

In order to escape politics for a bit I went hiking & geocaching today. Despite a steady rain it was good to get outside-my favorite find was camouflaged beneath an artificial stump. You’re never too old for a good scavenger hunt!

Found my FaceBlab post about it; 2016, well before our daughter lived in Front Royal. She had just moved to Manassas, VA from NY at that point after graduation from college and landing a job successfully.

Shoot. Lately I’ve been trying so hard to only (okay, mostly) purchase real “needs” vs. dubious “wants.” Problem is your book fits both categories, so pull the trigger I did. Looking forward to starting it this evening while I enjoy a glass of Cabernet…and some nibbles of cheese, of course.
