I always wanted to play this lot (in Copperdale). I finally found a great little house for it (more shots in comments). A little house in the woods with your own private lake to swim in. And it's so refreshing to play just a single sim and his dog for a change!

For a few weeks this summer I had a bug where all NPCs wore glasses. That went away. Now I have one where anyone in a situation outfit also wears some random headgear. 🤷‍♂️ Hopefully this will go away when I update my game lol.

Elijah's dad stops by after he's hit the gym downtown, to tell Elijah how hurt Elijah's mom is that he and Jere elected to have an MCCC courthouse wedding with no guests, no celebration, and no Mom involved in planning. She's sent him to persuade Elijah to let her host ...something.. in honor of it.

Jere earns money doing odd jobs, and selling some paintings. He doesn't want a "regular" job either -he feels he focuses better without a lot of people around. He finds patterns in nature and then they appear on his canvases in surprising and delightful ways.

From his spot in the square, Elijah saw that the landlord had stopped by to repair the doorbell. He jogged back home because he knew that Jere often got anxious dealing with sims he didn't know very well.

Elijah earns money doing odd jobs, busking in the streets of Windenberg, and has just signed up with a freelance agency which will send gigs his way*. Somehow, he'll show his parents he can make enough money to live AND travel the worlds.

It's true, Elijah's parents indulged him. But the apartment they have is pretty simple, with most of what they have focused on skill building. Jere still can't believe his luck though- to him, coming from much poorer background- and a hole in the wall in Nordhaven- this seems like heaven.

Elijah had moved out on his own into a townhouse in Windenberg center. His parents are Not Happy he's not going to college (they are a successful surgeon and arts critic).He can't settle down into a career despite his talent because he wants to travel- but his permissive mom gave him the 20K anyway.

Ugh I'm posting out of order. I'm moving on to see what's up with a household that MCCC (and the game) sought fit to move in, get engaged and marry - without my direction.They had been sweethearts in high school and both had graduated and transitioned to young adulthood. Meet Elijah and Jere:

Elijah comes from the Fishback Family (from the gallery). I've played with them a lot. Not sure who the original creator was, since a couple claim them. I've added cc and some skin details and elaborated the personality but it's been a great family to play with.

More MCCC cleanup: Since MCCC broke up Thorne and Octavia (and hitched Thorne to J Huntington), I had Octavia ask out Victor Feng for dinner since they are attracted to each other. Just when she was putting the moves on him, look who shows up (creep!)
