My biggest worry was knowing Antifa not only had organised a counter demonstration in response, but wanted to march to the same place, arriving at the same time! By doing that, they clearly signalled they wanted some action! My first march. More of a walk really!

I went. People consider me left leaning because of my values. I don't see the national flag as racist. White people were over represented, but I saw all races (after all it's London, a cosmopolitan city). I didn't see any fascists but we all had a nice time even when there was a rain shower.

Maybe the overton window has shifted and you haven't? BBC is more likely keeping a lid on public discontent, not fuelling it.
