This is super interesting. Nate Fredman was on Semafor's podcast talking about how Nielsen created similar feedback loops on FOX News in its early days. Are there folks studying this phenomenon I should be following?

I took it for a couple places I've lived and tooled around in the list of neighborhoods folks had put in. East Hyde Park, the Gap, Ickes Homes were in there. No Grand Boulevard, Douglas, Armour Square and those are officially designated neighborhoods. No "West Hyde Park."

Would be good to know more about how this map was made. I want to know people that live there vs. don't, new folks vs. old, where is there just no responses so it's one person's guess, where is there lots of contention?

Seems like the incentives of the attention economy online is to raise things to a crisis to break through. Like the choice is attention or action but both together is really hard
