Big day for the new German Centre for Astrophysics, evaluation process with the ministry (to end the official “start up phase”) & we have a new logo! Such a pleasure to be in beautiful Görlitz & to contribute to building up this this amazing centre with 1000 people. Some photos of trip yday & today

Beautiful yesterday in Berlin giving lectures @DESY @humboldt uni to a great group of PhD students for our multi-messenger astrophysics program. Remain hopeful for the future with fantastic students despite devastating threats to science funding. Mum win too, back in AMS at 7:30am 4 school trip.

Proud that our 8 yr old son & his friends decided to spend #koningsdaag selling their toys & books for @savethechildren to send funds to their fellow children in Gaza. It was a beautiful day and moving to meet so many wonderful people in Amsterdam. 🙏🏾

Fun & intense day in The Hague at the Time Domain Telescope kick off meeting thinking about ESO’s possible post ELT next big project in the 2040s. Loved giving a talk about the gravitational wave landscape & brainstorming about the next science breakthroughs in multi-messenger astronomy 🙌🏾

Interesting & lovely two days @ASTRON as part of scientific advisory committee. Thanks so much for making it possible to pump milk etc in such a beautiful & serene setting looking onto Dwingeloo telescope, it makes all the difference as a sleep deprived mum still breastfeeding 🙏🏾💐
