For wedding gifts, the traditional first year gift is paper. Ten years ago my wife gave me a paper owl she crafted. That little bird (named Orin) is a decade old now, still doing great. One of my most prized possessions. We celebrated our 11th anniversary this weekend. Love you my pretty bird Zanne

The first batch of sourdough rolls. Slightly overproofed, the bottoms browned a bit too much in that pan. Decent test batch, will make tweaks to the next bake off tomorrow.

About 2 weeks ago a bird crashed into the neighbors window at work. My coworker found it on the sidewalk and we buried it. I finally got around to painting the rock I used to dig the grave as a memorial. This poor little bird has me so in my feels 😭 🪶
