I am a proud parent of 2 amazing humans, a trans lesbian with ASD, a sci-fi/horror writer, a social worker and an outspoken loud mouth for human rights and social justice. I love comics, movies, books and generally nerding out. Absolutely no DMs.
I'm in the dental chair for an extraction and all I can think of is Steve Martin's sadistic dentist in Little Shop of Horrors.

Focus on the Family founder and right wing family values guru James Dobson is dead. Good! He was a horrific bigot who hated the LGBTQ+ and advocated for men to shower with their boys to "cure" their homosexuality. I wouldn't be surprised if it is revealed Dobson was yet another GOP sex criminal...

Comic book fans: What is your favorite X-Men Spin Off Team? I love the original Generation X line up and creative team. Ellis had a great run on Excalibur that gave us cool twists on the team. I loved all incarnations of the eXiles, from the forgotten Ultraverse days to Judd Winick's creation.

Fellow Anime nerds...does anyone else like the Robotech version of Super dimension Fortress Macross more than the original? I will say, I do like Robotech the movie as it's own standalone entity, but it's main source of footage, Megazone 23 is far superior. #80sAnime #Robotech #Macross

The first Dark Horse comic I ever read. I picked DHP #18 (1988) at a flea market when I was 10. My child brain was not ready for this book, especially the Concrete Sky of Heads story. I still feel that DHP is one of the best anthologies in comics history.

Trump's lackey doctors have downplayed his shit health in the past. I bet he is a lot sicker than they are revealing. This is a distraction from the Epstein scandal. He's so far gone mentally, he probably thinks an illness will earn sympathy when it is proven he's one of Epstein's loyal clients.

Superman comic fans are finally getting a comic book accurate Superman movie and there are so many cranky old farts like this guy complaining about it. His primary gripe is that the movie has characters he doesn't recognize from the older movies and too many explosions. A sad car rant. #Superman2025

This movie night, I'm keepin' it old school with the kiddos.

One Issue Wonders: I absolutely loved the Legends of Dead Earth Annuals from DC back in 1996. In this issue, Kurt Busiek tells a really cool story about an alien empire invading worlds that could potentially produce the next Superman. Will Kaleb of Hydros be able to continue the legacy of Superman?

These bastards vilify immigrants everyday, but are fine with appropriating their hard work. Superman was created by two Jewish artists, Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, both children of immigrants. Siegel himself immigrated from Canada. My social justice side and comic geek side
both hate this.

One of the wealthiest senators from one of the poorest states couldn't care less about his constitutes. Even people dumb enough to vote for Mitch McConnell don't deserve that.

In case you needed a dose of something silly in these shit times: Meet Web Man, Spider Man's double created by Doctor Doom. Yes, this was a thing.

I've watched this movie once a year since it was released on VHS in 1989.

Movie you’ve watched more than six times with a gif. ”Hard mode” no Star Wars, Star Trek, Lord of the Rings, or Marvel)

I only recently learned that one of my favorite comedians, Bob Mortimer was also a writer of comic crime fiction...this book is so funny and addicting, it's a blast to read. His style is surreal and grounded at the same time. Sort of like a mix of Douglas Adams and Elmore Leonard. A must read.

We've reached sad times when the North Korean state news is more truthful than the cowardly American corporate news.
