If anyone needs ideas for films to watch this Christmas, I highly recommend #WakeUpDeadMan on Netflix: a fascinating depiction of Catholicism, exploring the tensions between (and motivations behind) two very different priests that serves as a microcosm for religion in the USA...

Thanks so much for all the birthday wishes 😊 It's been a wonderful weekend of delicious food, Christmas choirs, lantern parades, and memory making with friends and loved ones ❤️

I make no apologies for Christmas spam 🤩 I love this time of year, and I've had my tree up for a week already 🎄

Sure, Netflix has Stranger Things, and Disney Plus has a load of Marvel and Star Wars content, but Paramount Plus just sent me this branded wooden spoon. Definitely the best streaming service 😎 🥄

Dear product designers: just because you can, doesn't mean you should 😳

A bit late posting these from Friday's Spooky Movie Club 🎃 Love any opportunity to dress up! But to be clear: I'm not dressed as Captain KIRK, I'm dressed as Captain PIKE. Big difference 😉 🖖🏻

It's been 4 years since I last ran the Altrincham 10k 🏃🏻 My fitness levels aren't what they were in 2021, but still pretty pleased with my time of 52:39🏅

When I'm not working at the UK's leading degree apprenticeship provider, I teach a module in youth ministry at @lutherkingcentre.bsky.social. It was therefore a real pleasure to spend last week at @durham-university.bsky.social for their Common Awards Conference for Theological Educators.

The last (fish) supper 😢 Gutted about the closure of another iconic Manchester restaurant today. I've fond memories of dragging my work colleagues from ITS to eat at the old Hip Hop Chip Shop in Spinningfields over 10 years ago. Grateful that I got to eat at their Ancoats site one last time 🐟

Perfect way to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon: chicken thigh quesadilla, black forest hot chocolate, and a large glass or two of Primitivo (all accompanied by a good book). Heaven 😊

Such a fun evening watching "The Shark Is Broken" - a hilarious (and moving) play about the troubled production of "Jaws" (co-written and starring Ian Shaw, whose father played Quint in the original film) 🦈

Thought-provoking afternoon learning from Gen-Z activists from Student Christian Movement & @christianaiduk.bsky.social. Great discussions on hope, trust, community, veganism, and what it means to be woke. A lot of ideas to share in the youthwork module I'm teaching at @lutherkingcentre.bsky.social
