Yes, that’s what it sounded like in the TNRD presentation from BC Assessment.

Similarly, while I strongly support more seniors housing in Port Moody, I couldn’t support advancing the proposed project at the Kyle site to second reading because it didn’t meet our inclusionary zoning expectations.

At Council, I voted against changing the parkland designation at the former Moody Elementary site. Before moving forward with that kind of decision, we need clearer information and a more transparent process.

When you start looking at it like this, it’s very apparent how much land we use for vehicles.

Sometimes I think about how much public space we cede to cars - like how many homes could fit in the same area as an intersection.

Port Moody’s Lime e-scooter and e-bike share showed significant distance travelled in only 2 months ~13,000 km. Obvs that doesn’t include all the private bikes/scooters. Use of bike infrastructure is higher than we think.

We deserve access to the same revenue pool for essential services and infrastructure. I am advocating for the Province to share a little of the $1.4B they collected from gaming and share some of it with the very people who contributed to it.

It’s time for a fairer provincial model of gaming revenue sharing. Our communities should not be penalized just because a casino wasn’t placed within our boundaries (or residents chose not to have one).
It is unrealistic to think that all 162 municipalities could have a casino.
