The demo for Mina is a lot of fun! I’m looking forward to the full game for sure! I hope it does well!

Nice man! I wish my only copy of it wasn’t the GameCube version. lol Still kicking myself for not being the Trilogy on Wii U while it was digital and cheap. 😅

💜 Know that things won’t always be this way. In time, your situation will change and things will get better. Much love, man!

All of this to say that not giving the player more options is somehow a good thing? I understand game progression through trial and error. My first console was an NES. Also, I’d argue Silksong’s art, world & music kept me trying. Boiling everything down to solely gameplay is an oversimplification.

I said this out loud multiple times while playing. That false sense of security just further makes Silksong frustrating. I really feel like Team Cherry didn’t put the game through a thorough QA process, or if they did, they just ignored the criticism.

Game feel is very important. If something feels consistently bad, a dev can argue a mechanic is perfect until they’re out of breath, it won’t change the outcome for the players. It’s why options matter.

Surprises are one thing, traps are another. Silksong goes out of its way to feel punishing consistently. It has many moments that it trolls you. It just adds to the overall frustration of the game to me. If they had just given more difficulty options, so much of this would have been mitigated.

It doesn’t matter how many types of enemies do it, if the number of those types is higher in areas you spend more time in. It can feel like a majority if those enemies are the types you interact with more.

No. They can leave the original game intact. I just want the option to play the game with an easier setting, but Team Cherry seems completely opposed to the idea, which is a shame. I don’t feel like this request is as harmful to Silksong as they insist it is, but it is their choice ultimately.

I would argue that it builds off your experience playing Hollow Knight’s hard DLC more than the base game. Alienating a large portion of your players is far from ideal, especially when a simple patch could remedy so many things. That sort of ‘get good’ thinking is why I’ve lost trust in Team Cherry.

Greatly disagreed.
