To be clear, I do actually buy that economic anxiety mattered.
But at the end of the day, people accepted the Elon/Trump invitation to channel all that anxiety was into hating marginalized people instead of actually fixing anything

We lost because we were trying to work within the system to defend the system. That’s managerial and necessarily weak. They won because they confronted the system and built new systems to attack the established systems. We can too. Withdraw and regroup.
