I don't know when water 7 is, but I've talked about my misgivings with the show with another friend of mine at some point, and they told me that after the sky kingdom the story comes together more and some lore stuff gets hammered out instead of being basically improv. would you say that's accurate?

this is super interesting, thank you! the bit about an overarching mystery especially resonates with me as a detective conan fan, I think the slow progression on that front early on is part of the reason I dropped it when I did, a little bit into the sky/cloud kingdom place

yeah honestly it feels really important to me to roll horses regularly to stay interested in the game, support cards just don't feel great to roll lol

the biggest thing about picking it up late though is that almost the whole game (with the exception of a recurring event) is balanced around being beatable with the free characters, so gacha characters are allowed to get pretty gimmicky and tend to be strong, but are very expensive to raise.

it's fine. gameplay's alright if you like tower defense games, but it's grindy and there is (or was, idk) no skipping combat, only auto-ing with your previous setup, which is slow and not 100% reliable. I remember gacha being brutal, not sure why. story apparently gets good eventually.
