The loss of Mairon is so poignant. He was such a great craftsman and Aulë’s best student, and I wish we could’ve had this instead of Sauron. Imagine what the Middle Earth could’ve been like if such creative force stayed good and used his skills and ideas to actually heal the M-E after Morgoth.
