Ultimately GM had huge potential but its real value stopped around GM8 for me.
The community then was unmatched(to this day), I used GM for many years. I can say for GM5.3a-GMS1.4 and they have an unmatched workflow. I am a software engineer today and due to the direction YYG has taken it I advise people to avoid it. Eventually I will release an engine with a similar workflow.
