When I was a kid, around 1,800,000 people died every year of tuberculosis. Now, around 1,250,000 do.

That's important progress. But at this current rate, it'll take a CENTURY to push TB deaths much below 500,000 per year. That's totally unacceptable for a curable, preventable disease.

@hankgreen.bsky.social I've no idea if you're gonna see this, but I've also been noticing accounts that follow me randomly. They have hundreds, sometimes thousands of people they FOLLOW, not followers. It's very strange. I report them for spam/botting but I get about 1 a day. Thoughts?
