yes, mb that's really the issue i'm getting all caught up on, i guess for it to work for me it more has to be a """vasio""" fic bc that's where the interest is for me (and like, vasi->o is basically canon), not in them ever actually getting together or finding happiness or whatever........ no ty

oh it's so good, i really can't describe just how good. i beta read it and we talked over the idea a lot before she wrote it and so i knew what would happen and yet i'm still haunted by it. i suppose when i feel moved to defend vasio this is really the kind of story i'm talking abt ->

DKGJHKH and tbh my fave vasio fic, rabbit's isn't bite also touch, is rly a yuuo fic anyway, to meeee it's everything i want from them, where vasily wants to understand ogata but he never will and ogata is just hallucinating yuusaku the whole time. so perhaps i'm not the best person to talk about it

vasily's intro is genuinely interesting! pity hardly anyone does anything w him, and just want to completely wilfully misunderstand ogata as well in order to make the pairing fit. i've read good fic for them but unless i trust the author and know them i'm just not clicking

to me it's kind of the other way around i think, where it COULD be interesting BUT it's become the moral imperative ship which means anything interesting about it has to be totally stripped out of it until neither character looks anything like themselves.
