I was just thinking about this yesterday. This is spot on. He would be milking these assassination attempts for all they're worth if they were valid. I think that the poor kid was guaranteed a life of luxury and assured his safety if he were to stage the attempt. Sleezy? Diabolical? You bet he is.

While they are scrambling to recruit new soldiers, they turn their backs on tenured officers who have dedicated their lives to this country? Am I getting that right?
