Just some guy who lives in Austin TX
We are where we are because way too many small, hollow people think they need some big daddy figure to give them validation. It's all "kiss up, kick down."

In solidarity with today's ICE OUT OF MINNESOTA blackout, MinnMax is donating $1 to the Immigrant Law Center of Minnesota for every share of this Bluesky post for the next hour.

Watching how Austinites drive when the roads are wet got me committed to a avoiding driving when the ice comes. Also, I'm wondering if the Waymo driverless taxis will be a problem. Were icy roads part of the algorithm training?

I think it would be very helpful if Democrats made everyone running for office to take improv comedy classes. I think it would improve the ability to think on their feet, as well as listening skills.

If ICE could so easily be turned into a violent goon squad without any accountability, then it shouldn't exist.

Current happy-place fantasy: Tammy Duckworth clobbering Pete Hegseth with a prosthetic leg.

Why so many Palestine flags at ICE protests? Unfocused messaging isn't doing either cause any good.

I had a realization recently that made a whole lot of stuff make more sense. It's that as much of a freak that Jeffrey Epstein was, he probably wasn't much worse than most billionaires.

I wonder how much overlap is between those that vote proudly against every property tax increase and then loudly protest school consolidations.

Being a military veteran, with all that entails, still hasn't earned me any agency with my employer, but at least there were Veterans Day cupcakes in the break room yesterday.

Management had me do a "performance self-assessment." Pretty sure I put more thought into my answers than they did coming up with questions.

Since the current occupier of the White House looks like the poster child for congestive heart failure, I'm wondering if President Vance was the plan all along.

Republicans lecturing Texas Democrats on responsibility surely is the height of comedy.

Ol' Ken Paxton sure is protective of the pedo-in-chief's gerrymandering scheme. Makes me wonder what skeletons Paxton has in his closet. I mean besides everything we already know about.

Once again, the Texas lege has me wondering how in the world these freaks keep getting elected.

I keep wanting to call JD Vance Millennial Ted Cruz. However, I don't know if he's the correct age, and I don't care enough to find out.

A lot of the "real-true" progressives I've known have been kinda condescending and patronizing towards non-whites, so it makes sense to me that the distain they have for the Democratic Party might be because it's the party of Black people.

The Biden administration's response to Israel's action in Gaza was pretty weak, but I doubt they would let Gazans be starved out of existence.

One of many lessons that we should be learning from the Epstein scandal is that the when someone becomes super-rich, they forget the difference between right and wrong, so how about we stop people from getting super-rich?

Lately, I've started to dislike too-pure-to-vote-for-democrats progressives almost as much as trumpanzees.

I'm convinced that Republicans spend a fuckton of money on propaganda to convince progressives to hate Democrats.
