Glad to hear this - I've no doubt she's making incredible memories for her family along the way! My friend too is the same with her view of life. She's lived way beyond the 'time' they gave her and is now on a trial. I admire how positive she remains.

It's a common story, sadly. A friend had to fight with her doctors for scans, being told she was too young for secondary breast cancer. Early 30's with 3 young children and a known treatment to prolong her life refused.

Sadly Jess, women are being overlooked when it comes to health. I have a friend with secondary breast cancer and there is a distinct lack of funding into research or treatment. Enhertu has been hailed as a groundbreaking treatment, however NICE are still refusing its approval due to costs.

Sorry to read this. I knew little of this secondary cancer until a work friend was diagnosed - mum of 3 found kids, who was told she was 'too young' to get it and battled for scans. There's a big secondaries community out there as well as trials. Sadly, very little funding though!
