Stroke of Midnight! I prefer a smaller body on the board, I don’t target lands often, and I like the art.

I lean this way since I mainly play brackets 2/3 causally.

Empyrial Armor, specially the Weatherlight version. The vibes of the card sparks so much joy for me. Feels like "Magic" to me!

The Final Fantasy set was the opposite, I have never played the games or interacted with anything FF but I ended up loving it. Felt interesting and I’m sure fans of the series enjoyed energy the set gave off. Felt like it was made by fans for fans.

I’m still processing my thoughts on this as well. I love Magic, I love Spider-Man, but I have zero interest in this set. It’s not necessarily a universe beyond issue either. Kind of feels like it’s lacking a certain charm of freshness that’s hard to pinpoint, the set comes off as generic in a way.

How many commander decks do you think is reasonable to have and maintain?

The pace of set releases has pushed me to become less engaged with releases. Hard to enjoy a new set when the community and online space is pushed onto the next new product. I miss the days of being able to brew and live with a set.

I’m excited to watch this episode to see your thoughts, I actually took apart two decks for the first time ever this last weekend. I was hesitant to do it but I feel like less decks will help me focus in on the ones I care most about.
