Idk about you but I have zero faith in the American people to correctly assign blame for a shutdown. They’d find a way to blame Democrats somehow, and the media can’t be trusted to set them straight.

That was my thought as well. I was angry with him at first but Trump wants chaos, and that’s exactly what a shutdown would give him.
