People who think public servants are slack

My theory on this is that while Labor’s delay supporting a Gaza ceasefire (+ UNRWA funding suspension, munitions opacity etc) won’t swing the vote of enough ppl to impact the election, it HAS completely disillusioned the base of people who would have otherwise popularised these reforms peer-to-peer:

My theory on this is that while Labor’s delay supporting a Gaza ceasefire (+ UNRWA funding suspension, munitions opacity etc) won’t swing the vote of enough ppl to impact the election, it HAS completely disillusioned the base of people who would have otherwise popularised these reforms peer-to-peer:
I went to the same high school as Sam Kerr. So did two of the girls who were murdered by the Claremont serial killer.
For decades, a taxi driver was the suspect.
I cannot over emphasise the impact these murders had for girls who went to my school. The fear was drillled into us from 12 years old.

Forever in awe of the bravery of survivors, & can only begin to imagine the fear these boys & young men felt after allegedly being molested by one of the most powerful men in the country.
Thinking today about the courageous men who’ve come forward & anyone who wasn’t able to. I hope we see justice.

This is a brilliant piece from ABC on the growing resistance against the military junta in Myanmar, with incredible access inside Karen state. But also… can you imagine the ABC describing other armed rebel groups fighting violent occupation like this…

Jason, thank you for asking. We caught and rehomed five of them, one of them got picked up by the council (and got rehomed), one disappeared and one we feed and monitor every night on a pet cam to make sure he’s ok (but we haven’t been able to catch him). His name is Monkey and we love him ❤️
