Happy birthday to Mae Jemison, 1st African American woman in space, born #OTD in 1956. She trained as a dancer and dreamed of a career in both science and dance. Ultimately she became a doctor and astronaut. She made history when she flew aboard shuttle Endeavor in 1992. buff.ly/chElnRw NASA photo

Welcome home! Commander Peggy Whitson and her crewmates splashed down off the California coast after the 20-day Axiom 4 mission to the International Space Station. Whitson was a NASA astronaut before joining Axiom Space, and she holds the U.S. record for most time in space. n.pr/4lziSn6
