The exhibition features some beautiful objects for adorning the body, such as embroidered silk belts - but I have a real soft spot for all of the little baby shoes that must have been kicked off tiny feet

This morning was very exciting as we had a private tour of the early modern chapel on the Halston estate in Shropshire, where the pulpit dates from 1725. It’s such an evocative space I could just imagine the #C18 congregation assembled in the pews
