A dodgy entry for #HillfortsWednesday Pendle Hill. Apparently there were Neolithic and Bronze Age burials. I went for the Witches as I’m currently reading ‘Something Wicked’ about the families involved in the Witch Trials!

Whoops! Bit behind with #ClassicsTober25. So Day 1 Hypnos. I’m current reading the new Natalie Haynes Novel ‘No Friend to this House’. This is the passage where Medea deals with the dragon guarding the Golden Fleece calling upon Hypnos to aid her in her task. BTW NFTTH is excellent!

#HillfortsWednesday (1) Made it he drive up to Hardknott Roman Fort yesterday as the road wasn’t too busy. One of my favourite forts though I don’t often visit due to having to negotiate the Tourists who often find the drive a bit challenging!

Had a great morning at the #Durotriges25 Big Dig open day then late picnic lunch at Maiden Castle, flying visit to the Jordan Hill Roman Temple, Durdle Door now waiting for the ferry to Sandbanks.
