A dodgy entry for #HillfortsWednesday Pendle Hill. Apparently there were Neolithic and Bronze Age burials. I went for the Witches as I’m currently reading ‘Something Wicked’ about the families involved in the Witch Trials!

#ClassicsTober25. Day 2 Thanatos the personification of Death. One of my favourite personifications of Death is the one in Terry Pratchett’s DiscWord who has a small sidekick called Death of Rats. This is a cross stitch that I did of Death of Rats

Whoops! Bit behind with #ClassicsTober25. So Day 1 Hypnos. I’m current reading the new Natalie Haynes Novel ‘No Friend to this House’. This is the passage where Medea deals with the dragon guarding the Golden Fleece calling upon Hypnos to aid her in her task. BTW NFTTH is excellent!

#HillfortsWednesday (2) The view looking down to the coast from Hardknott Roman Fort, and the view looking up onto the Hardknott Range from our Glamping Pod and Benny the four legged Barbarian who stayed to guard the car whilst I pottered about the Fort - too many Herdys about!

#HillfortsWednesday (1) Made it he drive up to Hardknott Roman Fort yesterday as the road wasn’t too busy. One of my favourite forts though I don’t often visit due to having to negotiate the Tourists who often find the drive a bit challenging!
