At the same time, they mostly remain silent about their own environmental footprint and increasing emissions, particularly in the rise now driven by AI investments. Considering the current state of environmental politics in the US I doubt we will even get these discourses in the future. (4/x)

💡 Using a combination of computer-assisted text mining and qualitative text analysis of corporate blogs, we show how the platform companies adopt the topic of environmental sustainability to depict themselves as ‘climate leaders’, moving from greening themselves to greening the planet.
