🧪Contrary to popular belief, bonobos do act aggressively.

The males commit acts of aggression. This was based on 9300 hrs of observations of 12 males.

Unlike the chimps, male bonobos do not go on patrols or form alliances. They do resolve their disputes w/sex.

🧪1. In roughly 61% of fights, female bonobos emerged victorious when they teamed with other females.

2. The average female bonobo outranks 70% of the males in her community.

3. Patriarchy/male dominance may not necessarily be an evolutionary trait in our species.
