We stopped off on our way home to look at this ancient little church. St George's, Shrimpling, Norfolk. A Norman round tower and 15 century font. A beautiful location amongst rural fields. Worth a visit if you're in the area ⛪😍⛪

Castle Acre Priory is well worth a visit if you're near Norfolk.
Very atmospheric and set in beautiful countryside near to Castle Acre Castle.
Excellent shop too selling excellent ginger mead! 😀

The benefit of an empty nest is knowing that you'll be eating ALL the muffins 🤣😋🤣

Mr H is away until tomorrow, so I'm looking after myself.
Maple Syrup and banana muffins are in the oven 😁

It's so cold outside I've made spicy sweet potato soup. Lots of chilli, fresh ginger and garlic to keep the chills away 🥶

Medieval Norwich today on my way to Tombland. Disappointed not to bump into the ghost that lingers here 👻

A new recipe this evening to beat the chilly weather 🥶
Tandoori salmon and saag aloo. Easy to cook and very warming ❄️🙂❄️

My favourite Christmas decoration from my childhood-maybe explains the ghost stories! 👻
Today I'm home packing Christmas away until next year whilst Mr H tales the Harrislets back to London. 😢

No Christmas tree yet, but we have the first of our Sunday evening real 🔥
It's been raining, damp and cold all day so I'm not moving again this evening 😊

The Monastery of the Holy Cross today. It's in a traditional village in the mountains (part of the wine trail so tourist busy in high season)and worth a trip if you're ever in Cyprus.
November 29, 2024 at 2:28 PM
We visited the Sanctuary of Aphrodite this morning. A UNESCO site well worth a visit if you are in Cyprus.
A crypt, sarcophagus and some gothic. What more could I ask for 👻😊👻

A blissful lunch stop today near Paphos Cyprus today.
Our hotel has a non-stop Christmas music playlist so it was a relief to hear some traditional music too 😃

I'm reading this by Suzie Miller. Our bookclub pick for this month.
Really excellent so far and apparently a great play too 📚👍📚

Something a little different for our Sunday roast today since I've had to be addictive free-Guinea fowl and puy lentils.
Now for some writing while they cook for an hour 😁
