Thanks for this great communication! I haven't been super active on here for a while due to a few life events, but I popped in to see what might be shaking, and there you were. So glad things keep getting better! I wear a convex style for my ileostomy too, and it also works great for me. 🙂

Yay you! I got my life back because of my ostomy, too. There's a wide variety of experiences out in the world, but for me personally, this ostomy is the reason I have a life full of things I love to do, and I'm very happy to be this lucky.

Indeed, in my case my ostomy is permanent -- after severe infection/sepsis as a complication of GI disease as a kid. Life before my ostomy was horrendous, and life with it is only occasionally more than mildly annoying - I don't have many restrictions, lucky me -- so I'm glad to have it.
