Cold age pensioner. Awkward former law lecturer & solicitor. Love Wales, Canada, cricket, Suffolk, 60s & 70s music. I support Glamorgan CCC, Cardiff City FC, Edmonton Oilers & Toronto Maple Leafs. Grey sky thinking on Blue Sky. Save Greenland from Trump.
It’s difficult, Sam. I want Labour to succeed but I feel this is a tipping point. I’m not persuaded by either the Greens or the Lib Dem’s (and certainly not by Plaid). So for the moment I remain a Labour supporter but am no longer enthusiastic and am open to a leftward alternative.

I’m 70 so my memory reached further back than yours but you’re absolutely right Georgia. Trump went into politics to enrich himself. Every other president, even the crooked Nixon, went into politics to make life better for people. He degrades the US presidency.

Is this Andrew Milne a practising lawyer? If so, is he a solicitor or a barrister? If he is a solicitor I hope someone will report him to the Solicitors Regulation Authority. This is despicable behaviour which brings lawyers into disrepute.

Why didn’t Derek Brockway describe the Taff so memorably?

Fabulous metaphor for the mighty Taff, David. Thanks for your post.

How low can you go. Is the Labour Party becoming the Limbo party?

Is it significant that the person chosen by Trump to be the chief law enforcement officer in the USA (ie FBI director) is called Kash?

I hope he’s patient because, sadly, it will take time to recover.

I suspect the Ashes will depend on injuries to the bowlers. I expect Australia’s reserve fast bowlers will do well, better than England’s, but Starc, Cummins & Hazelwood form a great bowling attack which is hard to replace.

Sadiq Khan is a wise and a good man. Trump is a moron and evil. I hate him a little more every day.

It won’t happen. I can’t see Starmer approving this and backbench Labour MPs would (rightly) rebel.

I’d be shocked if a Labour government would empower itself to seize an asylum seeker’s jewellery & valuables but if they passed such legislation I would never vote for Labour again.

I hope each of you can keep strong. I have no idea what you’re going through and there are no words I can say, really, but I wanted to let you know that Rory is not forgotten in your BlueSky community. God bless.

Poor Lucy. He’ll have to sleep.

I agree Buck. I’m a pensioner and I don’t want to pay more income tax but we should. We need better services and the UK can’t borrow more money. The manifesto promise was foolish and wrong.

I personally think taxes need to go up, I resent their stupid manifesto promise which means they either have to create mistrust in politicians or do nothing meaningful to stop the spiralling decline of services, which in itself creates mistrust & apathy. An appalling vicious circle they fell into.

Spot on, Buck.
