Yes! I wrote them getting drunk together and laughing at stupid shit hysterically until they couldn't breathe and threw stuff at each other. Also they drank all the good booze and had to resort to the only thing left, coconut-mango liquor that then became a Thing. Iva calls Croc 'little snapper'.

This is one of my favourite what-if AUs. Croc would have made wonders in RA, bring that sharp organization building and running business mind into the picture. 'n when something managed to make -Croc- believe, oh the management details and wins are absolutely love language, even foreplay.

Oh, jet lag and cold is not a good combo. Don't force yourselves into anything, just try to do what you most wanted and rest enough whenever you need so that those moments manage to become good memories.

Yah, jet lag will fade eventually and you're there all safe and sound, time to enjoy the trip!

I hope you're having a wonderful time! ❤️

...also it's very painful that Rocks was given one last brief moment of hope wondering if he'll leave the island alive, only to get finished by a banana.

I always thought Garling would be like... an actual villain. He's coming across like a spoiled little princeling playing at war with mommy's (Imu, not literal) powers and being completely useless otherwise except toward civilians.
November 23, 2025 at 3:58 PM
Am I reading this right? Conqueror's Haki powerful enough does punch through Domi Reversi and expel it? I can't believe that Roger and Garp's master plan of 'let's just hit him really, REALLY hard' worked. 'cause Rocks doesn't have fangs anymore, looks like himself. Thinks free, too.
November 23, 2025 at 3:58 PM
Also also, young Sengoku needed to be yeeted into the sea. Garp, you had ONE job and you failed that. As usual.
November 23, 2025 at 3:58 PM
At least the official translation is 'I know' and not ''kay.' because wtf was that. I understand that Oda wants a high ranking marine that hates WG but still operates within the Navy as one of those shades of grey, but it's so much more difficult to excuse Garp's flaws than Harald's.
November 23, 2025 at 3:58 PM
But guess he thought Dragon will go back to Foosha and marry some girl and I dunno, become a farmer. ...and hate his father for being a bootlicking genocide-collaborating coward. Like... tell him you punched the shadowy monster? Tell him the lame reason of staying to protect others. Something!
November 23, 2025 at 3:58 PM
Shadowy monsters not under his bed, but leading the world? Don't you think that might have been a smidgen of awareness he could have found useful in his future life? Yeah, I get wanting to protect him from the WG, but keeping him ignorant is not the way.
November 23, 2025 at 3:58 PM
I mean, yes, we always knew that Garp is either emotionally stunted or completely lacks the means to express how he feels if the emotion is anything except anger. Even his constant laughing feels more and more like a shield these days. But still. Don't you think your SON should know about monsters?
November 23, 2025 at 3:58 PM
Speaking of flawed characters: fucking Garp. I think with Garp it's more difficult to just accept his flaws as a narrative tool 'cause he's so close to our loved ones. Makes you want to shake him and scream in his face and THAT IS YOUR SON EXPLAIN THINGS TO HIM!
November 23, 2025 at 3:58 PM
Harald is absolutely a flawed character, and provides excellent backstory on good intentions combined with ignorance and where that can lead. Also poor Loki mourning for Rocks, his hero. Too young to have been there to help him.
November 23, 2025 at 3:58 PM
The giants need to be punished just like Harald himself has to be punished for betraying Rocks. He's stuck in his plan because if it doesn't come true then he betrayed Rocks for nothing, and he doesn't think his people can be hurt, and he himself deserves to be hurt.
November 23, 2025 at 3:58 PM
He also grew within the self-assuredness and even arrogance of the giants of his day, being a royal even enhancing it. I think he cannot even IMAGINE anything ever being able to hurt the giants. There's no danger to the giants, they're big and strong. The giants are a danger to others, instead.
November 23, 2025 at 3:58 PM
'n yes, it's easy for us to sigh and eyeroll and wish he'd get smarter already, but Harald is clearly not supposed to be a politically intelligent character. He's supposed to have been a spoiled bully turned into a passionate idealist.
November 23, 2025 at 3:58 PM
Speaking of Harald immediately, I think that him grieving Rocks and regretting not having helped him has driven him into sort of emotional sunk cost fallacy despair. If he BETRAYED his best friend for his cause, he cannot stop, the cause must come true. It cost too much for him stop now.
