A lot of art is deeply unpopular and therefore the artists creating it are unable to live (unless its fetish art lol). Artists fighting against AI aren't advocating for the liberation of art, they are advocating to maintain the current corrupt system. #AI

If artists had the power to change laws to "claim 'copyright infringement' on AI" why would they choose that instead of ending hunger, homelessness, etc... It's not a false equivalence -- you need political power to change the system, so why waste it with bandaid capitalism? #AI

There is only so much that is meaningful to the human existence. Hence why tropes exist. This limits the scope of what art resonates with the average person. Art fundamentally has limits. Copyright is thought policing what stories (that most people can relate to) can be re-told. #Art

2) there's a copyright industry and you need to hyper-analyze your art to make sure that its not too similar to someone else's lest you get sued into oblivion

Probably one of the rudest things you can say to a person. These people are so insecure they become hysterical and verbally attack others who are confident in their art. It's not mine, or AI's fault people don't buy your slop. Stop taking it out on other artists. #AI
Everytime I correctly point out in a leftist group that capitalism is the issue, not AI, I am required to take a purity test (I'm not allowed to talk unless I prove I'm an artist). Once I do, my art its immediately dismissed as "not real art because its 'bad'". #AI

Anti-AI is the liberal equivalent of anti-vaxx. I am sure we will even see people die from it (refusal to take life-saving medications designed by an AI, refusal of AI in emergency scenarios, refusal of AI in general leading to overwork related death)
