The reference photo. I can't get his face right. I think I'm going to make the drawing larger, and use a grid so I can focus on the details better. Right now it's only an 8x10, so getting those tiny details is more difficult.

So the picture I'm using as reference is tiny. Little 2"x3" trading card size. Can't see much detail, so I'll have to make some up as I go, but so far I'm liking it. #art

Pulled out the cigar box of charcoal supplies for my next piece. Its a portrait of my grandparents from probably the 50's or 60's. I'm not entirely sure, but it's my favorite picture of them. Hopefully will remember to share as I go!
