Félix Díaz thought he was destined for big things. His uncle Porifrio Díaz strongly disagreed. After his uncle was deposed, Félix involved himself in the revolutionary struggle. The closest thing to success he could claim was his involvement in a coup that is remembered as the Ten Tragic Days.

On June 21st, 1916, the Mexican Army defeated regiments of the US army at El Carrizal. General Pershing and Patton had wanted to occupy all of Mexico. Instead US forces continued to wander around for a few more months before being ordered to retreat.

Mexican Revolution moment: at the end of 1913, Admiral Fletcher orders General Cándido Aguilar to evacuate Tuxpan so US can take control of its petroleum interests. Aguilar responds to his "insolent" letter by threatening to burn the wells and shoot any yanqui in the area. No invasion happens.

Felipe Ángeles was a true Guy of the Mexican Revolution Started under the regime whose fault the whole thing was in the first place, and ended up with Pancho Villa in the División del Norte, while never agreeing with the plans for land redistribution that were the main point of the revolution
